Major Battles of the 1,000 Yarhen War

The Great War:
The Great War which almost ended in the destruction of the 12 Colonies of man started in 5549 when the Cylons invaded Hasaris. The humans intervened in the war but the Cylons retaliated by destroying Hasari. The 12 Colonies then found themelves at war with the Cylon Alliance
Battle of Casmoro Acapellico:
A surprise attack was carried out on the fourth colonial fleet in 6532. Commander Kronos commanded the fourth fleet from the Battlestar Prometheus. The fourth fleed succeded in destroying three basestars but the fourth fleet was all but destroyed. The Prometheus then joined the fifth fleet, only to be destroyed in 6538 at The Battle of Molokay.
The Battle of Molokay:
Molokay, it's inhabited moon and the entire fifth fleet were destroyed in 6538. The Pegasus, commanded by Commander Cain was thought to be destroyed but returns in the episode The Living Legend.
Battle of Cymtar:
The first colonial fleet was heading for the old moon Cymtar to rendezvous with delegated from the Cylon Empire to negotiate a truce. Instead they met the largest military armada ever assembled in recorded history. The Atlantia which contained the major government officals was the first to be destroyed. The rest of the fleet was soon to follow. Commander Adama realized that the colonies were unprotected and set sail for them on the Battlestar Galactica. By the time he got there the colonies were destroyed but he grouped the survivors together and set sail on a quest for a sister colony on a shining planet on a distant star system, a planet called Earth.
