In late 1999, upon the departure of our pastor, Elsa Clark, our church entered into a relationship with Trinity Lutheran Church in Bedford, Pennsylvania. With this agreement, an intern from a Lutheran Seminary would be called to serve both Trinity and Zion Lutheran Churches. And so Zion Lutheran Church in Everett, Pennsylvania recieved an intern in mid 2000. Currently Vicar Jeremiah Sassaman is with the congregation. As a third year Seminary student, he is serving the needs of the congregation. With the pastoral supervision of Pastor Raymond E. Short in Bedford, PA, he brings the preconsecrated elements to Zion each week, in order that our church might partake in the Eucharistic Feast of Our Lord, each week.
