Richmond, Virginia?
So what does a person do in Richmond Virginia -- of course go to historic sites and a drag brunch. I had a nice weekend in Virginia in February, though it was 15 degrees below normal. So, there were no bare legs and miniskirts, rather a long denim skirt and boots, but life remains good. First off, we went to a drag brunch at Godfrey's and got the last two seats. We were greeted by Karey, the "door whore" in the MC's words, but she was a very nice CD who mingled and gave us the inside scoop on the entertainment. The food was good and the show was nice, but as normal, I get tired of drag after a little while. The picture at the top of the page is of Karey and me outside the restaurant.
After leaving the brunch, we went to the Edgar Allen Poe Museum and House, where we had a nice tour. Unfortunately at the Poe House and the Agecroft Mansion, photos were not allowed inside. But here is a photo with a bust of Poe and with the sign.

After the Poe House, we travelled back to the 1500s, or at least to a house that was built in the 1500s -- Agecroft Hall. It was built in England and brought to Richmond in the early 1900s. It was amazing to see the original lead glass and other features. Here are some pictures of the grounds.
