Sublime spread its music across America by creating a blend of a dance-hall / rock-steady reggae rythms with punk-like behaviors. At first Sublime attracted the surf/skate/snowboard communities. But soon their popularity grew throughout the country. 40 oz. to Freedom, their indie debut album attracted many listeners with its unification of all types of music and its references to controversial issues. 40 oz. to Freedom is now considered an indie cult classic.

Sublime is truly an original band, combining all sorts of music to create unique styles. I started listening to Sublime probably about 6 years ago and have become a huge fan. I have the following cd's:

My favorite out of all of them would have to be 40 oz. to Freedom. Yet, I love all of them. I hope you too will enjoy the styles of Sublime.

Due to Bradley Nowell's Death Sublime was forced to breakup. Bud and Eric, however, formed The Long Beach Dub All Stars (LBDAS) and continued on making phat variety of music. Check them out!!
