At that time Kuldip Singh was the one who was given the duty of taking care of Sardar Jaswant
Singh Khalra at Thana Chabal. Kuldip Singh said that the day that Sardar Jaswant Singh Khalra was killed
around 7:30PM D.S.P. Jaspal Singh with his bodyguard Arvinder Singh came to Thana Chabal and after them
Jasbir Singh S.H.O. Manochal, Surinder Singh S.H.O. Sarhali and Pirthipal Singh Holdar also came to Thana Chabal.
S.P.O. Kuldip Singh said that the bodyguard of Surinderpal Singh Balvinder Singh Ghora was with them too.
He said that they got the key from him and went into the room where Sardar Jaswant Singh Khalra was, and
they told Kuldip Singh to go get some hot water. Kuldip Singh said that he heard two shots, that were fired by someone
in the room where Sardar Jaswant Singh Khalra was. He said that after he heard the shots he picked up his rifel and come out side,
where Balvinder Singh Ghora was opening the back door of the Marooti Van. After that Balvinder Singh
Ghora and Arvinder Singh picked up the body of Sardar Jaswant Singh Khalra and threw it in the van and
closed the door. He said that the van that had the body of Sardar Jaswant Singh Khalra was being driven
by Balvinder Singh Ghora, Pirthipal Singh and Arvinder Singh were in that van too. D.S.P Jaspal Singh and
S.H.O. Manochal Jasbir Singh were in the car that was behind the Maruti van. S.P.O. Kuldip Singh,
S.H.O. Chabal Satnam Singh, and S.H.O. Sarhali Surinderpal Singh were in the car that was behind them.
Kuldip Singh said that they got to Harekay Patan, where the two rivers Bias and Satluj meet. He said it was about 10:00PM when Arvinder Singh and Balvinder Singh Ghora picked up the body of Sardar Jaswant Singh Khalra and threw it in the water. After that they all went to Harekay Rest House, where they stayed about 2 hours, drank liqour and around 12'O Clock they went back to Thana Chabal. Kuldip Singh said that after 3 or 4 days S.S.P. Ajit Singh Sandhu called me and told me to forget about this whole thing, just like a bad dream and that's what's good for all of us.
