This ancestory will build the generational linkage from James McCracken, Sr. (1751 - 1814) to George Cole Richards.
 

JAMES MCCRACKEN, SR. (1751 - 1814). He was born at sea when his parents were making their way from Ireland to America.  He grew up in Pennsylvania land.  He married Sarah Rebecca Greenwood (July 11, 1756 - after 1806).  Marriage date unknown to me.  They had 12 children (Greenwood; Margaret; Mary; Sarah; Joseph; Robert, Sr.; James; Thomas, Sr.; Daniel; John; William; and Nancy).

son ROBERT MCCRACKEN, SR. (1777 - May 18, 1852).  Robert married Rachael Straw (Jan. 1, 1785 - Dec. 31, 1857).  Marriage date unknown to me.  Robert and Rachael had 11 children (William; John Nicholas; James; David; Cornelius D.; Robert, Jr.; George; Levi; Sarah; Catherine; and Rachael).

son JOHN NICHOLAS MCCRACKEN (1808 - 1888).  John N. was married to Margaret Hazlett (possibly 1799 - 1822) and then later to Sina Reed (don't have her birth and death dates, nor their marriage dates).  John and Margaret had 3 children (David Wilson; Sarah Rachael; and Elizabeth Jan).

son DAVID WILSON MCCRACKEN (Jan. 19, 1838 - Dec. 19, 1899).  David W. married Emma Nicholson (1834 - 1909).  They had 4 children (Joseph Nicholas; Alice Belle; Hannah; and Edith).  We have some information about these children.  Joseph married Sadie ? and their children were Earl, Ruth (who married a Palmer) and Joseph.  Hannah married Dell Richards and they had several children (James H.; Albert W.; Josiah B.; Edward B.; Helen Emma (who married Lex Kester); and Evelyn).  Edith married Mr. Hill and had daughter Gladys.

daughter ALICE BELLE MCCRACKEN ( ?  - ?).  Alice married Curtin (Curtis?)Richards.  They had only one child, GEORGE COLE RICHARDS (Feb. 23, 1893 - Dec. 25, 1943).  George married Jessie Pearl Muir (April 19, 1893 - Feb. 2, 1971). George and Jessie had 7 children (Alice Pearl; Florence Janet; George; Pyretta Belle; Thelma; Josephine; and Harry).
