This I would say is marvels first official comic book movie. Now I know they made Howard the Duck but not much people knew it was based off of a comic book. But this movie was known from comics and from the Spiderman cartoon. Now alot thought that this movie would not make it because of the R rating but I must say it was a hit in it's self. Really the movie would not have been good without the R rating. The movie is all about vampires and the war bettween them. It would be pretty hard to make a PG-13 movie about bloody thirsty vampires. Anyway I loved the movie and it felt like it was never a comic book before this. But it was. The story stays true to the comic and it fits the big screen.

The story: Blades mother was brutely bitten a vampire. At the time she was pregnant. Little to know the baby she is carrying also was subjected to the same thing she was receiving. Blade was born but his mother to his knowledge never made it. Now Blade had exactly what any vampire would have but better. He has the powers of every vampire but none of the weaknesses. The only weakness is the thirst for bloody which a friend by the name of whistler has found a way to control. Now Blade seeks and kills all vampires until he finds the one that killed his mother. As blade is chasing vampires he falls upon a woman (Karen Jenson) who is bitten. At first glance he thinks of leaving her but he remembers his mothers look and decides to help her.

Around the same time a vampire by the name of Deacon Frost is having his own problems and thoughts. He alone is planning something no one else has ever yet been able to unlock. He is trying to unlock the power of the blood god.

Now Blade and Frost are in a battle with each other. Two different reasons but similar out comes.
