I silently gazed out my window
as daylight faded into darkness,
and still, I thought of you.
I envisioned images of you
gazing in the distance
while slowly tears ran down your cheeks,
your beautiful body could no longer contain,
the multitude of emotions
flowing in and out of you.
"Please don't cry"  I uttered into the wind
No matter, the many miles between us
our hearts will be together again,
this I promise you.
