This first story is about the strange way I met a friend:
It was in the summer, and I was riding in the early morning on a train back to Lithuania, from visiting the old town in Warsaw, Poland. I was told when I bought my ticket, I would have to get off this train a ways in my journey, but wasn't sure where. I was in the eating car of the train and asked in English, but these two guys had a hard time to understand so I spoke Lithuanian and really surprised them. and they invited me to drink with them. So, I talked with them, but didn't feel like drinking. Anyways they were talking to a couple ladyies from Lithuania and introduced me to them.
During the journey, the ticket master told us to move from our compartment, for it wasn't what our ticket said. But my new comrades didn't like this and agrued with them.
Anyways, I was siting with in the compartment with the ladies and one guy was getting drunk and started to bother one lady, she asked for help I managed to convince him to leave her alone for a while and too, he got in a skirmish with the ticket master and insulted him and as custom had to pay a fine.
Well, a few hours later, we changed trains in Lithuania after crossing the boarder. And I still had a few hours left on my journey. However, by this time this guy was very drunk and still drinking and was bothering more this lady and his friends weren't doing anything to stop him...finally I got involved for she needed help.
I got up from my chair and took his beer, for he didn't need to drink anymore. And gave it to a train offical, he didn't like it, but he survived without it but was still bothering, and trying to grab this lady until she sat next to me...and finally had him leave her alone and he finally started to fall a little alseep.
So, me and the lady talked for a while and she thanked me for my help. I said it was the least i could do. She was returning to her native land after being gone for a year, she was tired from traveling but was happy to be back. After a few hours, I had to leave the train first, but we exchanged numbers and kept in contact and managed to see other other over the months and became good friends.
And that's how we met.... If you have any stories for me, please e-mail me.
My daughter and I moved from up north in N.E. to the South. She had been taking violin lessons up there, and when we moved I knew I wanted to find her a new teacher, but in the busy days, never got around to it.
I finally saw an ad in the local paper for someone who taught violin and tore it out. About 2 months later, found the scrap of paper and called. There was something about his voice on the other end of the phone, it was kind, gentle, soft! He said he could see her the next day, and proceeded to give me directions and amazingly enough, he lived just up the street from me!
The minute I walked into that room, and our eyes met, we both knew, that this wasn't coincedence, this was God's plan! We couldn't stop looking at each other, stealing glances, smiles. He was the most incredible person I had ever met. He has the patience of Job, has a gentle way that I didn't think I would ever see in a man, loves music beyond words. I was in love!!!
As the weeks went on, our friendship and our attraction grew. We began to find we loved and enjoyed the same things, music, theatre, adventure, travel, movies, long walks and wondering if the butterflies really fly that fast, or does the wind carry them, we like the same foods! We discovered that he had gone to school at a college in Boston, nor far from where I lived. And places he frequented, coffee houses, concerts, were the same ones I had been at, at the same time!
We both felt like we already knew each other, and who knows, we had probably seen each other, 25 years earlier, in another place! We would find we even dressed the same most days, wearing jeans and a denim shirt! It was uncanny! I was still searching for a new church home and he invited me to his church, where he is a deacon, and now, we attend together, with my daughter, and we worship God, and thank and praise God for bringing us together.
We both had been hurt badly in other relationships and we both never thought we could find a love like ours. When I look into those marble colored eyes, and when I look at him across a room, and the sun is shining down on the sandy blonde hair, I see an angel, an angel that God sent to me!
You ask, do you believe in love at first sight???? Oh yeah, it happens!! It did to us. We know that God sent me here, and that God brought us together, to love each other, for him to love my daugther as his own, and how he does! And she loves him so.....much! I never thought I would find a soul mate like him!!! The sound of his voice stirs such feeling in me, I can't describe it. I love him, with all my being.
For those of you out there who don't think you will ever find love, be patient. Listen with your heart, the muscle of your soul! Love will come to you, when you least expect it. It did for him and me.
About my soulmate, I first met him when I was 15 and him 20. He was from Bydgoszcz, Poland. We came from very different backgrounds. A friend of ours had set us up on a blind date, but I thought our friend was crazy for we were nothing a like. All though we kept in touch. Soon we became best friends, he has been there for me through every thing. He saved my life. When I was going through drug additions and sucidal periods. He was the only friend that was strong enough to stand beside me while I went through treatments.
Had I not had him I believe
I would not be here today. Then I almost lost him. I watched as my best friend fell in love with someone else. I t wasn't till then that I realized that I was in love with him. They became very serious which scared me so becasuse it was then I knew if I lost him to her, I had lost my one true love. You know how the quote goes if you love some one you should let them know for the moment may pass you by. Well luckily for me I got to have another chance for that moment. For she broke his heart and it was then he found me there. It was then I started to believe in TRUE love.
He saved me, then I rescued him. Some time I wonder if we had known each other in a past life. I always tell him my soulmate found me from across the seas. I believe true love knows no boundries. Here's one of my favorite quotes that always reminds me of him.
Legend says: before a child is born, his spouse is selected in heaven. Two souls are created, and an angel cries out, "this boy for that girl" From that day forward no barrier can prevent their meeting, and no hardships can alter there enduring love. Well me and my Polish love married the summer of 1997 and when I was 18. We had a beautiful son in 1999 named Dilonek. And his Daddy and I are more in love now more than ever before. Don't get me wrong we still have our mountains but at least we always met on the other side.
