Eve 6 and Lit will team up for a pair of special charity shows on May 13 and 14 at the House of
Blues in West Hollywood, with proceeds from the concerts being donated to the City of Hope
Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Co-sponsored by L.A. radio station KROQ, the two Eve 6-Lit shows are the latest in a series of
"Rock for Hope" concerts designed to raise awareness and financial aid for the City of Hope
National Medical Center and Beckman Research Institute.
City of Hope specializes in the treatment and research of serious illnesses, including cancer, leukemia
and HIV/AIDS, and funds from the two upcoming concerts will be used to pay for a special Teen
Room for young cancer patients at the medical center.
The Teen Room will be furnished with various entertainment items and video games aimed at
allowing adolescent patients some diversion while they are being treated during all-day treatments
such as chemotherapy and blood transfusions.
Just last month, MxPx, Neve, and the Atomic Fireballs all staged separate "Rock for Hope" shows,
and the organization says it hopes to schedule additional benefit concerts throughout the year.
