ML Game 25

Campbell's Boathouse Restaurant   8
Baker Printing   4

Media, PA Campbell's Boathouse took the opening frame of a back to back series with a 8-4 win over Baker Printing.

A Friday night standing room only crowd came to see a battle of the 1st and 2nd place teams, and was treated to a pitching gem by Campbell's Ace Evan Fooks. Fooks would keep Baker off balance all night, working 5 1/3 innings and striking out 10, with his strongest pitching performance of the season.

Campbell's attack started early, with 5 hits and 3 runs in the top of the 1st, and they wouldn't look back. They would continue to keep the pressure on, with the help of Sam Holefelder's line drive shot off of the top of the fence down the left field line in the 3rd, which would knock in the eventual game winning run.

Baker's Brian Virbitsky continued his hot hitting vs the tough Campbell's staff, with 2 doubles, and added a flawless night backstopping the Baker pitching staff. Kevin Smith helped Virbitski, with 3 hits of his own.

Brian Paz came on in relief in the 6th for Campbell's, and notched the save of Fooks masterpiece.

Campbell's would push their 1st place record up to 7-1, as Baker dropped to 5-4.
