AL Game 27
Mainstay Investments 17
Pazulski Tile & Carpet 16
On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, Pazulski and Mainstay had another epic battle on the baseball diamond. Mainstay jumped to a 5-0 lead in the first behind 2 RBIs from Corey Anderson and an RBI single from Nick Harrsch. They followed up with a 4 spot in the 2nd behind Sean Bettenhausen's triple and David Cage's 2 run double. Down 9-0, Pazulski started to climb back into the game by scoring 6 in the bottom of the 2nd. Louis Osher led off with a single, followed by Ben Klinger's hit and the floodgates opened. Dylan Hermann got on and scored, followed by Shane Blose, Kevin Wang and Christian Thacker who did the same. The game actually had a scoreless 3rd inning, the only one of the game. Mainstay put 5 more on the board in the top of the 4th as Jimmy Cage got a triple and Dylan White stroked an RBI single.
Justin Fitzgerald had the hit of the inning however, as he stroked a 2 run single. Pazulski scored 4 to cut the lead to 4 behind Nate Lemisch and Tom Salko. Mainstay scored 3 in the top of the 5th behind James Hilley and Luke Narbus's great ABs that led to a run for each of them.
With the score at 17-10 heading into the bottom of the 6th, Pazulsky started a rally for the ages. They put up a 6 spot behind some great at bats by Jimmy Beverly, Vinny Brown and Osher. The game ended with a close play at the plate and Mainstay walked away with a 17-16 win.
