ML Game 1

Campbell's Boathouse     11

Baker Printing     10

Campbell's Boathouse kicked off the 2012 MLL Major League season with an exciting comeback win against Defending Champ Baker Printing.

Max Daugherty got the start in the opener, and struck out 9 in 4 solid innings of work. The struggling Campbell's defense let Baker take control of the game early, but the Boathouse's attack never gave up. Campbell's bat's came alive in the top of the 3rd as they fought back from a 5 run deficit to take the lead. The attack was lead by Devon Laut's three run HR. Laut's Homerun scored Jake Ringiewicz and Kyle Langan. Ringiewicz reached base in the pivotal 3rd, on a new Little League rule: MLL's first ever dropped 3rd strike! Andrew Sposato's diving play at 1st base in the bottom of the 2nd inning was a rally killer, and his 3 doubles and base hit single helped fuel Campbell's potent offense.

Baker's Brendan Schramm led their offense with 3 hits and 3 runs scored, but it wasn't enough to overcome Campbell's timely hitting in their 11-10 opening game victory.
