The Padres and the Mariners played a hard close game right up to the last out.

The Padres scored on a groundout by Jeremy and an RBI single by Jerry in the third inning, an RBI single by Jerry, an RBI single by Andrew, and an RBI single by Zach in the fifth inning, and an RBI single by Tyler in the sixth inning. Despite their efforts, the Padres couldn't finish the comeback.
Bobby Sundo went a perfect 4-4 at the plate for the Mariners. Sundo singled in the first and fourth innings and doubled in the second and sixth innings.

Sundo, David Scanlan, Robert Johnson, Trey Pompetti, Gavin Dreher, Dylan Mitchell, Sean Bramley, Lucein Maddex, and James Tegethoff all collected hits for the Mariners. Dreher led the team with four hits.

The Mariners never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring two runs on a fielder's choice and an RBI single by Johnson.

The Mariners increased their lead with five runs in the second. Dreher kicked things off with a single, bringing home Tegethoff. That was followed up by Scanlan's single, plating Mitchell.

The Mariners added two more runs in the top of the sixth. A double by Sundo ignited the offense, scoring Mitchell. That was followed up by Pompetti's single, bringing home Dreher.
