ML Game 47

Moppert Brothers    6

Hagan Funeral Homes    0

Tonights match-up pitted 2 teams tied for 2nd place.  With 2nd place drawing a first place Playoff "bye" this game had a little bit of playoff atmosphere to it.  Fortunately for Moppert Donovan Davis came with his A game and pitched an impressive 2 hit, 1 walk gem.

Moppert got things going in the 1st inning with a walk to Donovan Davis, a SAC bunt by Tommy Higgins and an RBI ground out by Pete Mamola.  Moppert threatened again in the 2nd but two tag out plays at the plate {by Calvin Samson) kept any runs from scoring.  Moppert did not let up however and plated 4 runs in the 3rd innings on hits by Will Manganiello, Tim Quinn and Colin McGuire.  That would be it for scoring as Hagan's Robbie Brown kept Moppert off the board the remainder of the game.

Hagan's offense came from Neil Geosits and Brian Leonard with a hit a piece.  Mopperts offense was led by Tim Quinn with 2 hits and Thomas Bacchia who had a hit and a couple of hard hit outs.

This win has given Moppert the upper hand going into the last week of the season but with 2 games remaining for both teams anything can happen.
