ML Game 22
Campbellís Boat House 3
Moppert Brotherís Inc 2
The early Saturday morning crowd at the Major League Field was treated to two complete game pitching gems. Danny Enterlin bested Donovan Davis as Campbellís Boat House defeated Moppert Brothers, 3-2 for their third win in a row.
Enterlin pitching back to back complete games was finally rewarded with a win for his effort. His complete game featured five strikeouts and no walks while Davis was equally impressive posting seven strikeouts.
Campbellís scored early with two runs in the first inning with aggressive base running led by Christian Miller and Dan Grandieri. Grandieri also went deep in the fourth for his 4th homerun of the season and made a key throw to third in the bottom of the sixth to help thwart Moppertís final rally. Campbellís entire defense was stellar as the game was completed in less than an hour and a half.
Moppert finally dented the scoreboard with single runs in the fourth and fifth led by two hits by Kevin Bosco and a long homerun by first baseman Quinn. Moppert threatened to tie the game in their final at bat in the bottom of the sixth but Enterlin struck out the final batter with the tying run on third.
