ML Game 19

Moppert Brothers    2

Gardner Fox    0

This one was a solid, well played, baseball game.  The ball was often in play and more often than not the defense made a play.  Moppert started with some old fashion "small ball" in the top of the first.  Donovan Davis led off with a single followed by a Timmy Quinn SAC bunt, followed by a Kevin Bosco RBI single.  That was it until the 5th inning when Moppert got one more run on a Tommy Higgins walk and 2 ground balls.  GF threatened a couple of times.  In the 1st inning Dominic Nunag's 2 out double got Brian Mizell to 3rd and in the 5th Ronnie DeMatteo's 1 out double got Steven MCAlee over to 3rd base.  In both cases Kevin Bosco was able to bear down and pitch out of the inning.

The pitching was good for both teams with Bryan Mizell, Phillip Kotcamp and Sean Heidig limiting Moppert to 2 runs on 4 hits.  Kevin Bosco was very good going for Moppert going 5 2/3 innings giving up 0 runs on 3 hits.  Donovan Davis got the save for Moppert getting the last out of the game.
