NL Game 35

Haverford Trust Rockies   9

Lankenau Spine Center Yankees   4

With an up and down season so far the Rockies came in needing a win. So they put there ace out there Big Boy Alex Burman. Alex pitched well but the Yankees did score 3 runes in 3 innings with big hits by James Cavallo, Conner Daily and Chris Rushton. Plus they made 3 or 4 huge defensive plays one by Jimmy Hennley who was playing center field and snagged a hard pop fly out to his area .Plus Conner Daly while playing second base caught two very hard ground balls and made the play. Starting pitching for the Yankees was Colin Mulholland. He had a rough first inning but settled down and pitched well with two scoreless innings. In his relief came Conner Daily who just does everything well. However the Rockies line-up and pitching staff was just to much for the young Yankees who are going through some growing pains this season. In the first inning Eric McLaughlin came to the plate and blasted a double with loaded bases and scored all 3 runs. As usual Alex Burman and Nick Fender go t on base the entire game.

After three strong innings pitching Alex Burman was relieved by hard throwing Nick Fender who had his stuff and pitched two scoreless innings. In the 6th Matthew Quan came in to close out the game and did what he usually does. Throws strikes.

This brings the Haverford Trust Rockies record to 5-5. Right there in the thick of it. They have two game in the next three days so it will be a tough weekend.

As for the tough never say die Yankee's. They won there first game last Sunday and came into this one with lots of confidence and played all aspects of the game well. That's a tribute to there awesome coaching staff. Lead by Scott Rushton.
