In a game that see-sawed back and forth the Cubs prevailed over the Braves 10 8.

The Braves jumped out to an early lead, scoring four runs in the first. Rory Allen, Rich Sposato, Dj White and Katie Groden all drove in runs to start the game. Jack Kichula was able to keep the Cubs hitters off balance and they struggled to keep up, only scoring a run each in the 1st and 2nd innings. The Cubs were finally able to have a big inning in the 3rd, with Howie Viguers driving in two runs and Eric Faillace belting an inside the park home run. The Braves answered back with three runs in the 4th, again taking the lead 8 7. The Cubs were able to plate three runs their next time up, and now led 10 8. Joey Cimino came in to close the game for the Cubs, striking out the side and stranding a runner on third. The game was called due to darkness while the Cubs were batting in the 6th, so the score stayed at 10 8.
