The Rockies went up 1-0 in the top of the 1st with an RBI triple by Nick Fender.  The Red Sox responded with a 5 run 1st inning thanks to hits from Kyle Virbitsky, Cory Ziring, Aaron Brown and Charlie Frindt.  Alex Burman pitched strong in the second and third by striking out 6 Red Sox.   The Rockies were down but never gave up with big hits by Eric Mclaughlin Nick Fender and Alex Burman kept them alive and in the top of the 3rd Jack Pandolfo singled in the tying run to put the game at 5-5.   The Red Sox scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 4th to secure their 2nd victory of the season.

 

Corey Ziring pitched 4 full innings and struck out 6 batters.  Kyle Virbitsky closed the game for the Red Sox by holding the Rockies scoreless in the final inning.
