NL Game 4

Conley Ward Athletics 8

Lankenau Spine 2

Thanks to all the coaches and parents who helped wetvac the puddles and rake and grade the infield to get ready to play.

Connor Daly opened the game for the Yankees with a double. After being advanced he was able to score on an RBI single by Vincent Sposato.

The Athletics were kept scoreless due to great pitching by Connor in the bottom half of the first. Danny Crawford threw a no hit inning also, holding the Yankees in the second. The As bats came alive in the bottom of the second, with base hits from Jake Scott and Alec Fishman. Danny Crawford had a base clearing triple.

Conner Daly had another lead off double to open the third. After a stolen base, he was knocked in by another RBI by Vincent Sposato. The As bats were still on  fire in the bottom of the 3rd. Devin Dougherty hit in his cousin Cameron with a double. Devin was knocked in with an RBI single from Brian Skahill. Jake Scott had a triple and Nicholas Kracht had a nice RBI double. Richie Hess had an RBI single to score Nicholas to bring the score to 8-2. Although the Yankees put 5 runs up in the top of the 4th to make the score 8-7, the game was called due to darkness.

(Rule #11 states when a game is called due to rain or darkness the final score reverts to the score of the last complete inning)
