ML Game 35
It looks like this Moppert team may be finding their footing. Tonight they beat a good Hagen team with a 12 hit offensive attack and another solid defensive effort. Hagen started the scoring with the Brian Gross (single), Hunter Tierney (HR) two run shuffle. Moppert charged right back with 5 big runs in their half of the 1st inning behind 3 walks and 4 hits. Hagen put 2 more runs across in the 2nd inning to tighten the score but Moppert than expanded their lead with runs in each of the next 3 innings. Meanwhile Kevin Bosco was settling into a steller return to the mound by holding Hagen scoreless for 3 consecutive innings. By the time Hagen got to Kevin they where just a bit out of reach.
Hagen had 11 hits led by Brian Gross (4-4) and Ethan Heller (2-3). Offensive stars for Moppert were David Splain (2-4), Kevin Dougherty (2-3) and Will Manganiello (3-4). Mike Roberts had a towering double off the left field fence.
