AL Game 24
Predential Fox and Roach 13
Meenan Oil 9
On a beautiful night for
baseball, Prudential Fox and Roach recorded their first victory of the 2007
season. PF&R struck early in game as Thomas Bacchia doubled in Kevin Murphy
and Jack Daly for two quick runs. Thomas would later score as Sam Naismith
(3 for 4) singled him home with two outs in the inning. The top of the line
up duo of Daly and Murphy would score again in the second as Brendan Welsh
knocked them in with a two out single. PF&R would break the game open with
eight runs in the third, with Jimmy Doyle’s two singles in the inning.
Meenan’s bats started to heat up, led by Calvin Samson (3 for 4) and Billy McCarthy (2 for 2) as they battled back with runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings. Robbie Brown pitched well for Meenan in relief, not allowing a single PF&R player to cross the plate.
Matt McDevitt, Joe Kaneda, James Hare and Redmond Clevenger all contributed to the first win of 2007 for PF&R.
