In only Five and a half innings, the CMA "Lightning" won their first game of the season 8-6 against the PFR team that would not quit. It was a game that featured Coach Dan Doyle behind homeplate.  Stevie McAlee of CMA pitched a strong 4 innings of shut-out ball with 3 K's.

 

His counterpart for PFR, Tommy Bacchia pitched a solid 3 innings with 4 K's. CMA did break through with 3 runs in the 2nd inning with clutch hits by JT Harrar and Tyler Taggart.

 

CMA then struck for 5 runs in the 4th Inning with clutch singles by JT Harrar and Tyler Taggart & a double by Stevie McAlee

 

PFR's James Hare broke the shut-out bid with an infield 1B in the 5th inning eventually coming in to score with an agressive steal of home called by Coach John Daly. Their bid at a rally ended as Dominic Nunag came in and struck out the side.

 

However, PFR make a valiant comeback in the 6th inning as they scored 5 runs off the CMA closer to make the final score 8 - 6.
