ML Game 5

Baker    7

Hagan    3

A rainout on opening day ceremonies delayed the game by a day but didnít damper the spirits of Baker or Hagan.  Baker scored one in the 1st inning with a leadoff double from Ben Davis (2 for 3) and some great base running.  Baker scored three more in the 3rd inning with a clutch hit single and fancy footwork on the bases by Nick Boleta (2 for 3).  Ron Tassoni (2 for 2) helped with singles in the 3rd and 5th innings as well as provided great defense as catcher.

Hagan battled back in the 4th inning, with 2 men on, Hunter Tierney hit a towering home run over the centerfield fence to bring the score to 4 Ė 3 (favor Baker).  Kyle Maylish pitched the first four innings for Hagan allowing only 4 runs.  Baker finished strong with good defense by Joey Murray and Andrew McElwain making nice plays at both 2nd base and right field.  Luke Antenello added a key two out single, hit hard down the 3rd base line to help produce 2 more security runs in the 6th inning.

Ben Davis pitched well thru four innings allowing only 3 runs.  Jimmy Allen pitched the last 2 innings allowing no runs and striking out 2.
