Rose Tree came out swinging and jumped out to a 6-0 lead after three innings. Brian Snow, Tim Quinn, Matt Divis and William Manganiello did it at the plate while Tommy Higgins stymied the Cubs batters.


William Manganiello struggled at pitching in the fourth leading to four runs by the Cubs. After four, the score was 6-4 Marlins. In the fifth, The Cubs scored another run and the Marlins answered in the top of the sixth with one making the score 7-5. In the bottom of the fifth, the Cubs threatened getting one run across. With two outs and runners on first and second, the Marlins' Brian Snow scooped up a hard grounder at third and ran over to force the runner out ending a great game. Final score, Marlins 7, Cubs 6.
