NL Game 45

Wilson Safe Company Rockies    7

Children’s Medical Associates Red Sox    6

In a well played game, the Wilson Safe Company Rockies were able to squeak out a win against the Children’s Medical Associates Red Sox.   Superior pitching from both clubs dominated the contest.  An exciting top half of the sixth inning had the fans on their feet as the Rockies were able to hold on to their slim one run lead  after the Red Sox Dan Grandieri lead off the inning with a triple.  The Rockies defense was able to shut down the powerful Red Sox bats to preserve the hard fought win.

Offensively the Rocks were lead by Bobby Rennie, Chris Smith, James Hare, Cameron Ricciardi, Ellis Driscoll, Seth Luck and Mike Kramer who each crossed the plate.  Solid pitching performances by the Rockies Colin McGuire, Steve McAlee and Jack Daly, who closed out the Rocks victory with two shut out innings.  Matt McNichol, Andrew Wilson and Brian Koskinen all contributed to the Rockies fourth win of the season, with their heady play.

The Red Sox were lead by Dan Grandieri’s two hits and Dominic Nunag’s solid pitching.
