On a beautiful Thursday night, Bill Battey's and Caramanico played their opener.  Caramanico held Bill Battey scoreless in the first, thanks to great defense, including a ground ball which JT Harrar beat out an infield grounder for a hit, but a quick throw from Ethan Heller to Alex McLaughlin, got JT at second, when he tried to stretch his hit into a double.  In the bottom of the first inning, Caramanico scored 2.  On the first pitch of the year, Alex Mulhearn hit a line drive to right center for a double.  On the next pitch, Ethan Heller hit a line drive to the wall for the first of his two triples.  Bryan Leonard followed with a single to score Ethan.  Bill Batteys scored 2 in the second and six in the third, thanks to hits from Zachary Kracht (2 hits), Christian Miller (2 hits), Damon Branch (single and Triple) and James McConnon.  Caramanico broke through for 5 in the fifth and five more in the sixth inning.  Big hits in those innings were from Bryan Leonard, Joseph Buckley, Matt Rechtenwald, Ethan Heller and Timmy Buckley.
 
Caramanico received great pitching from Alex McLaughlin, Bryan Leonard and Ethan Heller.  Bryan Leonard didn't allow a run and struck out 3.  Ethan also struck out 3 in his inning.  Alex McLaughlin got the final 3 outs to end the game, striking out 2.
 
For Bill Batteys' --  James McConnon was on bse 3 times, including a double;  Zachary Kracht had 2 hits including a double and single; and Damon Branch had 2 hits including a triple and single.
 
For Caramanico -- Joseph Buckley had 2 hits;  Bryan Leonard was on base all 3 times including 2 singles and a walk;  and Ethan Heller was on base all three times with 2 triples and a walk.
