ML Game 42

Baker Printing    10

Peterson    4

Baker Printing closed out its season with a strong effort against Peterson & Peterson.  Peterson took the early lead in the game plating three runs in the first inning (all unearned).  It looked like Baker was going to strike right back loading the bases in the bottom half of the first, however, strong pitching from Peterson's starter, Cole Gamber, kept Baker off the board.  Kyle Wenner took command of the game from the mound for Baker at that point, keeping Peterson's offense in check.  Baker got one run back in the bottom on the second inning by good at bats from Andrew Karkenny and Tyler Flynn.  Andrew used nifty base running to come all the way around for the score.  The offensive star of the game for Baker was Sean O'Kane going 2-2 with 3 RBIs and a run scored.  Sean came up in the bottom of the third inning with bases loaded and 2 outs and delivered a clutch single to tie the game at 3.  In the fourth inning Ian Campbell laid down a perfect bunt single and was knocked in by Jake Enterlin.  Jake was driven in by Eric McGough and Sean came through again with a 2 out single to collect another RBI.  That was all the runs Kyle needed pitching a complete game gem.  Playing well offensively for Peterson were Ben Davis (2-3) and Darren Luca (1-2).
