ML Game 34
After a scoreless 1st inning Moppert plated a run in the 2nd inning on hits by Adam Junkin and Taylor Longacre and an RBI fielders choice by Brian Vendetta. Carman took the lead in the top of the 3rd inning scoring 2 runs on a couple of walks and a single to right field by Nick Lowendowski. Carman may have struck for more except for a nice throw from Alex Abromowitz to Adam Junkin back to Kyle Longacre for a 9-2-5 putout to end the inning. Moppert was able to retake the lead in the 4th inning on a bunt single by Adam Junkin to score 1 run and then some Conner McCarren steal of home. Moppert then added 3 insurance runs in the 6th to close out the scoring. Kyle Gillen pitched 5 solid innings for Carman allowing only 3 runs and Brian Vendetta and Brian Bosco shared the pitching duties for Moppert. Also of note was a fine defensive play by Ian Mclarney on a bullet to SS off the bat of Sean Mohollen. Offensively for Carman was a nice Double to right center field by Carmanís Conner Gallen. Moppertís offense was powered by Adam Junkin going 3-3.
