Baker Printing 9
Behind the outstanding leadership of Baker Printing's 12 year old players, Baker overcame a very determined Carman squad. Jake Enterlin pitched four outstanding innings giving up only 1 hit and striking out 8. Christian Martin, Ian Campbell, Jake Enterlin and Kyle Wenner all had a strong night at the plate going 5-11 collectively with 2 singles, 2 doubles and a triple.
Defensively, Andrew Karkenny set the tone with an outstanding play at 3rd to start the game, fielding a tough one hop line drive and throwing across the diamond for the out. Christian Martin and Ian Campbell also had outstanding defensive games.
Jake Meyer, Jeremy Davis and Eric McGough also contributed strong offense going 1-1 with an RBI, 2-3 and 2-2 consecutively.
Sean Hobson and Connor Gallan attempted to rally the Carman team, Connor with a tremendous shot to left field in the 4th inning and strong pitching and Sean's 5th inning single and strong defense, but were not able to overcome a tenacious Baker effort.
Kyle Wenner closed the game for Baker pitching 2 scoreless innings.
