ML Game 4
On a cold a dreary April (woops – late May) evening Moppert won this contest.
Brian Vendetta started the game for Moppert pitching 2 scoreless innings which allowed Moppert to forge ahead 5 – 0. After adding to their lead in the top of the 3rd inning Baker’s bats came alive to score 4 in their half of the 3rd and a couple more in the 4th. It would not be enough though to overcome the early scoring of Moppert. Big offensive nights came from Adam Junkin of Moppert (3 for 4 with a double) and Jeremy Davis of Baker (also 3 for 4 with a double and a triple). Moppert’s Omar Randall had a nice defensive play in the 2nd inning snagging a rocket of the bat of Eric McGough in deep center field to end the inning with the bases loaded.
