ML Game 1
Baker Printing kicked off the season in style with a hard fought victory over the defending MLL Champs Peterson. Kyle Wenner got the start for Baker squaring off against young gun Cole Gamber. Peterson struck first jumping out to a 2 run lead after one. Jake Mayer evened the score by hitting a clutch single in the second inning up the middle scoring Jeremy Davis and Colin Campbell. Eric McGough came in to start the third and pitched two strong innings holding Peterson's offense in check. Ian Campbell lead off the third inning with a beautiful bunt single. Two batters later Christian Martin hit a screaming line shot down the left field line to drive in the go ahead run. Christian then used heads-up base running to get himself to third and was driven home on Jeremy Davis' RBI sacrifice. The scoring for Baker was capped off by an RBI groundout by Eric McGough. Peterson attempted a late inning rally when Cole Gamber lead off with a perfect bunt down the first base line. Ben Davis powered the Peterson offense by going 4-4 with 4 doubles, one of which drove in Cole Gamber to set the final score at 5-3. Kyle Wenner was the starting pitcher. Eric McGough gets the win, and Jake Enterlin gets the save.
