AL Game 37

Fabian-Baber    14

Meenan Oil    4

Meeting again for their second and final time of the regular season, Fabian-Baber, Inc. and Meenan Oil tangled once again in a well-played, hard-fought battle that ended in a 14-4 win for the FBI boys.

The Oilers did very well in the early going behind the strong arm of Nick Boleto before running into trouble in the 3rd and 4th innings when FBI scored 9 runs.  Contributing for the FBI offense was Conor Bradley with a double and a single, Zack Kline with a single and Kevin McGarvey with a hard hit double to right field. In the 5th and final inning honors went to Anup Singh who blasted an inside the park homerun, driving in 3 runs, to give FBI the 10 run maximum and the victory.

Pitching a solid game for Fabian-Baber again was Dan Furman who had 7 strikeouts while giving up only 2 hits.  Furman was followed by Kevin McGarvey who gathered the save by striking out 3 batters.  McGarvey also made the defensive stop of the day earlier by snagging a hard line drive while playing 3rd base, then firing a bullet to 1st to get the double play.

Of note for the Oilers offensively was Nick Boleto who had a single and a triple and Bobby Juliani who had two singles.
