AL Game 29

Kish Funeral Home    5

Fabian-Baber    2

Kish Funeral Home started the second half of the season with a well played 5 - 2 win over Fabian-Baber Inc.  Starting pitcher Josh Bannister threw three innings for Kish without yielding a hit or a run.

Kish scored three in the second inning with aggressive base running and a key hit delivered by Pete Scheuerman.  The fourth inning Kish fireworks came off the bats of Bannister and Bryan Mizell who connected for back to back home runs over the head of the centerfielder.

Bannister was relieved by Mizell who struck out the side in his first two innings.  The Kish no hitter lasted into the sixth inning when F.B.I.'s Danny Furman broke it up with a base hit to left.  Furman was followed by Zach Kline who hit a slow roller to Kish first baseman, Shay Roddy who quickly threw to the pitcher, Mizell covering first but Kline was called safe for an infield hit despite some great teamwork by Kish.  The big bat for F.B.I., Kevin McGarvey then stepped up and cleared the bases with a double to the fence in left-center.  But the F.B.I. rally and the game ended on a perfect throw to second by Bannister at catcher on an attempted steal.
