AL Game 20
Kish withstood a furious fifth inning comeback by ECT to hang on for a 12 - 11 win at The Dott.
Kish built a nine run lead thanks to the hitting and pitching of Mike Roberts (4 for 4, 3 IP, 2 ER). For ECT, Tim Aman had three hits and Eric Poynton almost hit one over the Blue Monster in rightfield of newly christened ballpark. But even more power was supplied by Zach Lynch for ECT with three hits including a double over the centerfielder's head and a bases loaded triple which brought his team to within one run of a tie in the last inning. Kish reliever, Shay Roddy was able to get the final out on a ground ball, leaving Lynch stranded at third. The defensive star for Kish was centerfielder Brian Treston with a difficult catch of a deep fly ball. Treston also quickly got the ball back to the infield on several deep hits to the outfield fence by ECT.
