Quotations    4

In the 2nd game of the young American League season, Fabian-Baber tangled with Quotations Restaurant to capture a 13-4 win in a well-played contest.

Behind excellent pitching and fielding by both squads, the two teams played to a 0-0 draw after 2 full innings.  Pitching for Quotations, Kevin Bosco struck out 5 batters in the first 2 innings.  But in the top of the 3rd Fabian-Baber broke open the game with doubles from Joe DeMalavez and Kevin McGarvey and a triple from Dan Furman to bring the score to 2-0. Joe DeMalevez then returned to the mound in the bottom of the 3rd to complete 3 innings of shutout pitching.

Fabian-Baber added 2 more runs in the top of the 4th on a double by Anup Singh but Quotations made it a contest by racking up 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th to make it a 4-3 game.

The top of the 5th inning proved decisive when Fabian-Baber chalked up 9 more runs that was ignited by a lead-off double by Dan Furman followed by a first-pitch single from Sanjit Singh.

Furman took the mound to close out the game while giving up one run to John Ferruzzi on a hard-nose steal at home plate.
