Kish 8, Nellies 2 The Kishers were looking to end a four game losing streak tonight and got a stellar pitching performance from Beau DiFiore, who had six strikeouts in six innings, giving up just two runs on five hits and three walks. Beau DiFiore and Dan Henry hit back-to-back singles in the first to lead off the game. The Homers made a nice play at the plate to get Beau DiFiore who tried to score from second on Dan's single. Zander Brown made a perfect catch and tag to meet the challenge of Beau's aggressive baserunning. Beau held the Homers scoreless in the first by getting two strikeouts and a pop up to the mound. In the second, Kish scored two more runs after Zack Calo and John McGovern led off with back-to-back singles, and JB Bursall walked to load the bases. Beau DiFiore singled to drive in Zack and Dan Henry hit into a fielder's choice that allowed John McGovern to score. In the bottom of the inning Beau got three ground ball outs, two back to the mound and one to Hunter Tierney at first. In the third, Kish added another run after Joe Sincavage led off with a walk, moved to third on a single by Tom Smith and then scored on a wild pitch. The Homers got their first run in the top of the third when Jimmy Allen hit a ball in front of the plate and then moved to third on the overthrow. He scored on a ground out to the pitchers mound by Luke Naismith. In the fourth, Kish scored a pair after Dan Henry led off with a single, moved to third on wild pitches and then scored on an RBI single by Mike Naimoli. Mike also scored on an RBI single by Hunter Tierney. The Homer's pitcher, Eric Poynton, then settled down to get the next three batters. Beau held the Homers scoreless in the fourth with a strikeout and two groundball outs. Dan Henry knocked in two in the fifth with an RBI single and the Homers answered back with one run in the bottom inning after Jimmy Allen hit a triple and scored on a single by Eric Poynton. It was 8-2 and that's the way it ended up. The stars of the game were Beau DiFiore for Kish and Jimmy Allen for the Homers.
