(((((( PLEASE READ THE RULES IF WE ARE GOING TO TRADE!!!!! ))))))
Rules:

1. Please tell me what brand discs you will be using for mine.
I prefer discs made in Japan.
No shiny top discs please. Two reasons for this:
The important one first:
They can stick together and peel off the finish rendering the disc useless.
Now my personal reason:
They show every little fingerprint. I got some of these one time that looked as though the guy was eating KFC chicken while burning them! The FBI would not have had to use any of that fingerprint dust stuff to lift these prints for sure! :)

2. Please tell me what you use software wise in your first email to extract and burn with.

3. No trades with people who use consumer stand alone CD burners such as the Philips or Pioneer etc.
What this means is if you have to use special discs in your unit, do not even bother contacting me. In case that last sentance does not make sense to you, I will put it this way..If you can not use blank discs in your unit that a computer uses, do not ask me for a trade.
If you decide not to tell me you use one of these consumer stand alone burners, and send me discs burned on audio(consumer)discs, you get nothing back from me and you just wasted your time and money.
My reason for this rule is simple:
Consumer stand alone burners put a code on the CD called SCMS. This code is to prevent you from making a digital copy of the burned disc. This code can make extractions difficult for me with EAC as it shows up as an error and slows EAC down tremendously. Sometimes to the point that it takes an hour or more to extract the disc. Sometimes I can't extract them at all.

4. PRO stand alones are fine. What this means is if you can use blanks that a computer uses, you have a PRO stand alone burner.

5. I do not sell shows. Never have and never will. So don't ask. This has never happened to this date, but it seems to be on every other list I have seen, so I figured I would do it too. :)

6. I can't believe we still have to say this but, use Disc At Once (DAO)(NO 2 second gaps).
Please tell me if there are any known flaws in what I pick from you. The main one these days are glitches between tracks. What I mean by this is anything that does not sound like a smooth transition between tracks which can be anything from a click to a skip to a 2 second gap.

7. If you are the one who is requesting a trade, and I never traded with you before, I reserve the right to ask you to send first.

8. Please use only 1 email address during the trade. It gets way to confusing keeping track of who is who when you have multiple trades going on at the same time.

9. Please include my response with each email sent so I can keep track of what we are talking about. You AOL people are very bad at that. If you can't or won't do this simple request, I can't trade with you. I refuse to keep jumping back and forth between my inbox and sent items box, just to see what I or you said that I am responding to.

10. If you read these rules, in the first email you send to me, somewhere in the body or subject line, (I don't care where) write these words: "Live Music Rules". This is a test I came up with to actually see how many people read the rules. As of late it seems that no one does read them because of all the trades gone bad after I ask what they use for extraction and burning software wise, only to find out they use a consumer stand alone burner which I clearly state I will not trade with people who use them.
I have got some very positive comments about this silly rule I came up with. And some say they are going to do something along the same lines themselves.

Software: I use EAC exclusively. I extract using secure mode. I burn no higher than 16X but usually at 12X.

Formats I can trade in:
CDR>CDR
CDR>tape
tape>CDR
tape>DAT
CDR>DAT
DAT>CDR

I can no longer make video copies. If I have something on VHS you want, I will entertain the notion of lending you my copy. Also anything on VHS that you want to transfer to DVD we can work something out I am sure.

I am WAY behind on updating my lists. For the last couple years, most of what I get is from bit torrents or file sharing. I estimate I have a couple hundred shows to add, and more gets added to that every day. I am dreading this job, but maybe someday it will get done. :)
