Love At First Sight

For all those of you who were drawn to this page by the title, thinking that it held the promise of stories of love at first glance, I'm sorry. You're not going to hear what you intended to hear. You are, however, going to hear something that's totally awesome. When I chose the title of my page, I intentionally chose something that symbolized romanticism. I want to tell you, however, of a love that is far beyond romantic love... of a love that will never end or grow tired or faint. I have chosen this title and this medium to tell you about the love of Jesus Christ.

Jesus came into my life when I was four years old on a cold Christmas Eve. I was at a Candlelight service at church with my grandparents when I realized that I would not meet them in Heaven because I had not asked Christ into my heart. This disturbed me terribly, even at such a young age. How could I spend eternity without my family, whom I loved so much? Then and there, I began to cry... and my grandparents urged me to go to the altar and lay it all before the Lord. So I did, and I've been His child ever since.

This is not to say that I have been perfect and without blame since. In fact, I'm far from perfect, and I'm the first person that would admit that. I fall sometimes, as we ALL do. But the Lord says in His Word that we all may stumble and fall, but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength and soar on wings like eagles! (Isaiah 40:31) What an awesome thought... that I will one day soar on eagles' wings... that I will get to walk with the Creator of all life... it's awe-inspiring and humbling. I love the thought that He cares for me as he cares for all of His children. And I love the thought that I *am* one of His children... it's such a wonderful feeling.

This page is far from done. I have so much to share with you all... so much love that my Savior has given me to spread. I plan to have a favorite verses page, a testimonial page, perhaps a Bible study page, several Bible reading plans... I have great plans for this page, so please check back frequently. For those of you who are saved, please send me your testimonies! I'd love to feature them on my page! Have a favorite verse? Pass it on!

To my new Internet friends who are not saved, I'd like to invite you to have a personal relationship with my Father. All you need to do is make room in your heart for Him, and then invite him to stay. He'll help you to change and become who He intends for you to be. A simple prayer, like the one at the bottom of this page, and an attitude of service and change are all you need to live forever with the Lord. Please, won't you invite Him in? It's *so* cold in the world without Him.

A Prayer of Salvation...

Dear Lord, I ask you now to come into my heart.
I know that I have sinned in the past,
and that I will continue to sin in the
future. But I also know that with Your
loving arms around me, I will always be safe.
Lord Jesus, won't You come into my heart to
live? I'll make room for You... please help
me to live a life for You.

Amen.
