My Opinion's

I have a few comments on Windiws 98, First if you have Windows 95 then don't waste your money on "98"
as I did if you are an ordinary person like me, because for the most part It isn't any different than Win95, but
lots of luck when you install it. First my Win95 was loaded with all of my programs and drivers and running
properly, second it takes 4 to 5 times as long to load it compared to win95, This stinks ! I can load Win95 in
12 minutes flat. If your stuff isn't Plug & Play then forget it. Also I never have had more computer, modem and
illegal operations crashes since I installed Win98, I kept it and really tried it for the month of July,1998 and
then I removed it and reinstalled Win95.

During that time I upgraded my computer microprocessor from Cyrix 6x86 P-150 (120mhz) to a Pentium 233
MMX and guess what I found out ?, Thats right ,You Guessed it, My computer didn't work any faster or better
than it did with my old Cyrix 6x86. All this speed is only good for some business applications and some
games ,so I doubt that I'll be upgrading again soon.

OK now I'll tell you how I solved my computer problems, First I partitioned my 1.6 gig HD into 3 bootable and
active partitions (Using System Commander software) ,I have Win95 on my main "C" drive, I have Win98
on my "D" drive and MS-DOS6.22 on my "E" drive, and every thing works just fine. When I boot up using
System Commander I select which drive I want to use and thats it and my computer does what I want and
not what Microsoft wants.

HTML Editors

I have programed in QBasic and Boreland's Dbase IV so when I decided that I would like to try HTML , I bought
CREATING WEB PAGES for DUMMIES ,It was just what I needed to get my start with HTML. A cdrom
came with the book, and it had a shareware editor called HOTDOG in it, also I downloaded a freeware editor called
HyperText Master 2 and I picked up a beta copy of Ms FrontPage 98 on a cdrom . I used HyperText Master 2
and HOTDOG to create my first webpage , and as for FrontPage 98 forget it, I know every ones raving about it,
and how easy it is to use ,but I didn't find it easy to use. The HOTDOG HTML editor lay out was similar to
HyperText Master 2 and it was OK but it had a 30 day limit to register it and FrontPage 98 beta expires
12/31/98 . Then I downloaded HyperText Master 95 ,It thought it was so good that I paid $16.90 for the registered
version and was really enjoying it until I found the Arachnophilia 3.4 HTML editor ,It's powerfull, easy to use
and you can configure it just about anyway that you want, and guess what, it's FREE ,it's CAREWARE check it
out you won't be sorry. .
