True Happiness
The Point: Storing up treasures in Heaven.
The Message: True happiness is found in a life with Christ.
The Scoop: What is the main thing people do in life? They try to find true happiness. We are born wanting. We look to all kinds of things to fill that void in our souls. Sometimes it's a material possession, sometiimes an action. But we can never find true happiness until we look in the right place. God wants us all to be happy, and He has the keys to true unending happiness. When we finally realize that our lives are going nowhere and we are not really finding anything more than passing pleasure in this life, we need to turn to the Lord and give Him all our hearts. Jesus Christ is that ultimate "thing" that actually will bring joy to our lives.
The Tale: True Happiness tells about the many things people do to find perfect joy in their lives, and in the conclusion says that true happiness can only be acheived by obeying Jesus. Two Bible stories that are written one after another were blended together in the third verse. The main point of those stories wer saying that you must give up this life to inherit the kingdom of eternity.
The Idea: I wrote this song because I wanted people to realize that the only way the're ever going to be contented in this life is to give up the pleasures of this life and follow Jesus. It needs to be told, for many souls are dying everyday in search of something better. Let the world know: "True happiness is found in a life with Christ and an absolute filling doesn't have a price!"
