Death by Cash
The Point: Forsaking.
The Message: To give up this life so we don't burn in Gehenna.
The Scoop: Money is at the center of nearly everything today. People live by it. People are killed by it. Life continues to develop because of it, and yet life is being destroyed by it. Money is not an evil thing, but putting it first, ahead of people and ahead of God is what IS evil. Death, spiritually and/or physically can be the end result of loving money more than God. Thinking about this, think about how many people love money and compare that to the amount of people who love God. Is this world spiritually dead?
The Tale: Death by Cash is told from my point of view. It tells about how the world is more ready to achieve a higher financial status than love their fellow man. Children grow up parentless because their parents are working, trying to establish a better life through monetary gain. People sometimes become victims of others seeking wealth. And in the end, the Antichrist establishes a new world order and takes away cash completely, replacing it with "the Mark of the Beast."
The Idea: I came up with idea for this song through many secular hip-hop songs whcih praise money and declare that it's "all about the Benjamins." I wanted to direct people in a new direction and show them that a love for money leads to eternal destruction, not happiness. This song was started in Spring of 2000.
