DJ Earthquake, Ambassador, Phanatik, Enoch, and Tonic. As far as I know, Earthquake and Enoch are no longer part of CM. Official is now their DJ and Enoch resigned because he has children to raise. The background in this picture (which was taken for the Human Emergency album) resembles North Philly, and probably is, since CM's headquarters are located there. The last sentence before the lyrical quotes is hint number five. Notice that Earthquake and Tonic are wearing matching shirts. I don't know what they say or represent, but I do know that in the earlier days of CM, Tonic and Earthquake called themselves (together) 'The Gift'.
Cross Movement
Why do I like them? They have awesome lyrics, banging beats, and they're from right here in Philly. Also, they are not celebrities. They realize that they are just as human as we are, and if there is any Christian artist who would step off stage into the crowd and stay there, it would be Cross Movement. I have had the privilege of meeting them, and they are some of the nicest people I have ever met!
What albums do they have? Heaven's Mentality, House of Representatives, Ambassador's Christology in Laymen's Terms, Human Emergency and Holy Culture.
In which order do I like them? Fifth: Heaven's Mentality. Fourth: Human Emergency (Enoch saved that one). Third (tough call from here on): House of Representatives (don't bother with the song called 'The Rescue'). Second: Christology in Laymen's Terms. First: Holy Culture.
What are my top three favorite songs? Third: Off the Hook by Ambassador on House of Representatives. Second: House of Representatives by Enoch, Tonic, Ambassador, Cruz Cordero, TRU-LIFE, and Phanatik on House of Representatives. First: It was Love by Ambassador on Christology in Laymen's Terms.
Who writes the illest rhymes?Ambassador, of course! The retired Enoch wrote some really good ones too, but not in matching quantity with Ambassador. I also like Tonic and Phanatik, but they don't keep me as interested as Ambassador and Enoch do.
My man 'Sug' in stripes, Tre-Z in foreground, Cruz Cordero with football, Corey Red, (???), Ambassador, (???), DJ Official in Larry Boy shirt. This picture was taken along West River Drive in Philadelphia in August of 2001. This is a day I won't forget any time soon. You think Corey Red is scary looking? So did I... until I met him. Instead of biting my head off, he told me some valuable truths. Tre-Z forced me to stay and have dinner with them. He refused to let me leave on an empty stomach! Ambassador went out of his way to make sure I got a drink of water when I was thirsty. Reminds you of a story in the Bible doesn't it? Lord, when did we feed You or give You drink? In doing so for My children, you have done so for Me. The music's playing and people come.
