The Frontline

The Point: Satan's access.

The Message: Count every blessing and throw the rest in a junk pile.

The Scoop: Any area in our life that Satan can come in, he will we. We must be careful to shut off any open door that he might come through. The world's ways might look good but that is the trick of Satan to deceive people into going the way of the world and being destroyed. It is worth living life without certain things rather than be misled and follow a path that leads to eternal destruction.

The Tale: The Frontline speaks out against television programs, radio programs, advertisements, newspaper articles, magazines, websites and a host of other things that could be used in a good way, but usually aren't. Satan has taken control over many areas of life and we must be careful not to let him into our homes as well. While not all things are bad, we must choose carefully, and with the Lord's help, decide what is fit to be in a Christian home, and what is not.

The Idea: I started to write this song the day after I started Jonah and The Prodigal Son. While on vacation, I got sick of some of the things I was seeing on TV. It was so easy to just give in and watch, and basically, passively agree to the things I saw. I wrote this song to keep my mind clear of those things. After writing the first verse about television, I decided to write about other things as well. Philippian 4:8 is one of my favorite Bible verses, so writing about those things was a great experience for me.
