The Frontline
It's a high-end appliance and Satan's sly hand
Stuffs it with violence, designs it to heighten
The mood of even wise men, eventually likened
Spell it T-V with no hyphen, avoid it my friend.

It gets a hold of your mind and stops you from tryin'
Sooner or later you drop the 'Christ' out of Christian
Then your just a nice man, your mind starts to siphon
You drain out your cares and decay with life, man.

You pay the price, kid, so do what Christ did
When Satan opens his mouth, put a spiritual knife in.
A toothless python? No bitin'! No strikin'!
So tread on the serpent, in fact, start hikin'!

We're marching to Zion despite Satan's tryin'
Cause the Lamb of God has defeated the lion.
And watch what you're buyin' cause you know that he's sly, man
Don't get left out when Christ says "You're Mine!"

Chorus

Step out in the sunshine, we're moving the frontline!
The pure, the lovely, the just is on our minds
We're not talking 'sometimes' that God's getting us by
Philippians 4:8 turns Satan to dust guys!
Step out in the sunshine, we're moving the frontline!
What's virtuous and praise-worthy remaining on our minds
God's love with us abides, He graciously supplies
So count evey blessing and throw the rest in the junk pile.

Verse 2

The slang of the streets backed by bangin' the beats
You know that it's wrong, but dang! it's so neat!
But your family needs more than language bleeps
So trash the CD's that you can't stand to keep.

And refill the rack with some more killer tracks
But with messages spiritually still intact
And still get back to your 'ill', in fact
Spread the Word too, it's a brilliant act!

Cause the raps that got are clearly lacking God
They're stacked with live sounds and action plots
The facts they got are exact the op-
posite we get when we chat with God.

So chat with Him and He'll slash your sins
Get back to when - you first asked Him in
And that is when - the bad passions end
The world's music fades and God's band begins!

Verse 3

We must try - to please Him, in and out of every season
Believe Him - His meanings - go beyond our reasoning
And even - When it seems we can't release things
He's got better things right here in our reaching!

And the TV's programmed - to touch you like a slow jam
(But it's just for education!) What's it teaching about God's own Lamb?
It stinks and it's useless, but then, so is toe jam
So, yo man, your own fam - needs you more than shows planned!

You're watching a bunch of movies, start watching what you're doing!
Cause it can take a hold and you're controlled by box-hit wooings.
Some are teaching family values, others reach out to your child, who's
Learning by example as good morals turn to stale news.

And the choice of music better change, cause the message is the same
Money, women, and cars and not the Lord who reigns!
I aint trying to place the blame, I'm just trying to make it plain
If you leave the door wide open, Satan comes and stakes his claim.

And the 4:8 test applies to all of you stuff
If it's wrong, then, "that's tough" but Satan's calling your bluff
If it don't go in the trash then - still gonna remain a passion
And sooner or later, it all comes back again.

So count every blessing and throw the rest in the junk pile.
