After nearly 2 years of planning and preparation, the long awaited premiere issue of Royal Russia, is now available.

Royal Russia is the only periodical of its kind dedicated solely to the study and appreciation of the Romanov Dynasty and their rich legacy. A new annual will be published at the end of each fiscal year.

The premiere issue features a magnificent colour portrait of the Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna on the cover. The portrait was painted in 1908 by Victor Karlovich Shtember.

A total of 9 full-length articles are featured in the premiere issue. The cover story focuses on the Grand Duchess Olga's years in Canada from 1948 to her death in 1960. Other full-length articles include The Lion from Novy Svet: Prince Lev Sergeyevich Golitsyn by Georgy Osipov, Margaretta Eagar at the Russian Court by Charlotte Zeepvat and The British in St. Petersburg by A. N. Tchesnokova. Each article is richly illustrated with photographs from Russian sources as well as my own private collection.

One of the most exciting additions to Royal Russia is a series of new articles on the Romanovs by Russian historians, translated from Russian. These articles will mark their English debut in the pages of Royal Russia! I will also be introducing new writers from Russia and Europe, such as Irene Galaktionova, who has written two articles for the premiere issue.

Three unique collections of rare and vintage photographs are also featured in the premiere issue, many of them will be new to Western readers. These include: Monuments to the Romanovs in Post-Soviet Russia and Frozen in Time: Photographic Memories of the Russian Imperial Family, plus The Lost World of Imperial Russia: Vintage Photographs of Russia Before the Revolution .

My Russia: In Search of the Romanov Legacy, is a unique travelogue in which I share my personal journeys to Russia, highlighting places of interest that have a connection to Romanov history or that of Tsarist Russia and richly illustrated with my own personal photographs.

This is just a sampling of the dozen articles and photograph collections that appear in the premiere volume. Each issue of Royal Russia is free of advertisments, giving readers more full-length articles and photographs, thus ensuring value for money. Overall I am very optimistic that I can offer Romanovphiles and Russophiles a quality publication that is filled with unique and interesting articles, beautiful photographs and more!

Royal Russia is available in a large 8-1/2” x 11” magazine format. Each annual will offer over 100 pages of text and an equal number of photographs and illustrations. Please note that the annuals will not be sold by subscription, but as individual copies. I have purposely utilized a specific size and page count in order to take advantage of third-class mail which is considerably cheaper than the parcel rates for books, and thus keeping the price to a minimum.

Please note that Royal Russia can be purchased from our online shop, or from Librairie Galignani in Paris, France, Booksellers van Hoogstraten in the Hague, Netherlands, and Amazon.com in the United States.

If you have any questions regarding Royal Russia, please do not hesitate to contact me by e-mail or telephone.
