WHATS NEW THIS WEEK....
All moved into my apartment...I love it so much...now all we need is a phone line so that I can use a telephone and sign online!!! Summer is going well, and luckily I can continue to play Vampire The Masquerade over the summer...I love playing my character, she's so much fun! Well, enough of that...onto my page...
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Emily and I technically live in Elizabethtown, PA (although, college seems like more of a home to me at times). Believe me, it's not exactly an ideal place to live. It's small, boring and there's nothing to do. I used to go to the one and only Elizabethtown High school; although I don't always like to admit it. I'm about 5'6" and have blonde hair and blue eyes. At the time I'm 19 and my birthday is June 29, 1981. (If you really want to see a pic of me, send me an e-mail and maybe I'll be kind enough to send you one).
I usually pass my time playing guitar, violin, piano or singing. Music is basically my life, everything I do centers around my different concerts or auditions. I listen to every type of music there is, almost. My all time favorite band is Dave Matthews Band (infact, some of my friends say I'm obbsessed--but I'm not! really!), and Boyd Tinsley is my violin idol (no, I'm serious, I worship the man----I mean, have you seen or heard him play?? He's fantastic, wonderful and awesome!!). I write my own poetry and use a lot of my poems for songs (some of my friends have even referred to me as the next Jewel, although I don't think I'm that talented). I was planning on recording a demo album of some sort before college started, but I didn't have the time to work on it----so I'm hoping that I'll get to work on it sometime before I graduate. If you check out my poems page and like them, drop a line and I'll send you some more (actually, for the time being I've removed my poems from my site-----but I hope to put them back on in the future) :-)
When I'm not involved with music, I usually keep myself busy doing other things I enjoy. Shenandoah has a lacrosse team-------so during the spring my free time will be spent watching their games. I used to play tennis, but had to give that up due to tendonitis in my wrists from violin. At school I am a Music Education major and I am working on taking some classes and coming out with a minor in scenic/lighting design.
Besides all my wonderful college stuff that I have to deal with, I plan on traveling as much as I can. Three summers ago I went to Mexico, which was a blast...I had the best time!!! Hopefully I'll get to go to Italy for spring break or during the summer to see Anna (I miss you sweetie!!!). I hope to spend a summer in England at some point in time. After college, one of my first choices of places to move to is Boston-------it's so beautiful. I fell in love with the city when I was there for Harvard Model Congress. I'm planning on finding a Graduate school there so I can work on my Masters Degree in Music Education, possibly. Besides that, though, I plan on spending a summer just traveling the United States and living in a VW bus (hey, what can I say, I'm a hippie at heart). I think it would be good for me to get away from people a bit and just do what I feel------earn my money playing in coffee shops and what not (of course, all my friends say I'm crazy!)
