CONDENSED RULE BOOK (as of 1-15-2009)
PURPOSE
The purpose of the Anti Drug Athletes United, Inc. (hereafter refered to as the ADAU) is to promote RAW Drug-Free athletics in many sports, with the main concern being POWERLIFTING.
The ADAU may sanction (insure) events in Powerlifting, Weightlifting, Body Building, Strong Man (or Woman), Arm Wrestling, or any other sport that follows the principles of RAW and DRUG-FREE.
NATIONAL OFFICE
The ADAU has been established as a corporation in the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and it's offices shall
be located at:

MEMBERSHIP
Individual Membership dues are:
$20.00 for youth members less than 20 years old.
$30.00 for adult members 20 years old and older
All Individual memberships will be good for ONE YEAR FROM DATE OF PURCHASE.
Team memberships are $30.00 and they are good for the calander year in which they are purchased.
Powerlifting
Powerlifting competitions will consist of meets consisting
of the Squat, Bench Press, and Deadlift and total of the 3 lifts,
and any or all of the preceeding in single lift meets.

All 5 year age groups starting with 40 to 44
These National Championships may be all combined in one meet or they may be different meets.
Clothing and Equipment
The following MAY or MUST be worn:
Shoes of any kind except with spikes or cleats MUST be worn.
As many pairs of socks as you wish MAY be worn.
Youth lifters at local meets MAY wear shorts and a t-shirt.
Youth lifters at a National Meet and all adults at any meet MUST wear a loose, non-supportive singlet.
Under the shorts or singlet, lifters MUST wear normal underwear briefs or a jock strap.
If wearing a singlet you MAY wear a t-shirt with sleeves.
If wearing shorts, a t-shirt MUST be worn.
A 4" wide leather belt with a metal buckle MAY be worn
Hats MAY NOT be worn, but a commercial sweat band MAY be worn.
American Records
American Records will be maintained for both 3 lift meets (refered to as Powerlifting Records) and for single lift meets.
Records will be maintained in all recognized weight classes and ages groups for both males and females.
Drug Testing Policies
Competition in ADAU powerlifting events is limited to lifters who have not
used any form of strength inducing drugs or hormones for 60 months.
All athletes participating in any ADAU sanctioned competition are subject to
drug-testing and their entry into an ADAU event constitutes their consent to the testing procedures.
When a lifter becomes an ADAU member, he or she is subject to OUT OF MEET DRUG TESTING
by urinalysis 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, without any prior notice.
Meet directors should add this to their contest meet waiver form as well as listing the banned substances.
Drug testing is to be done by either of the following two methods, with the choice being up to the meet director:
POLYGRAPH with a minimum of three parameters, which include, but are not limited to:
"pneumo" [breathing]
"cardo" [heart]
"GSR" [Galvanic Skin Response]
URINE ANALYSIS with the evaluation done by Quest Diagnostics of Atlanta GA
with the proper forms and A and B samples.
