Outstanding Deadlifter was 46 year old Bob Hunt of Forest City PA

I guess to be the outstanding lifter at this meet you have to be 46 years old......age and treachery will beat out youth and vitality every time.

Several youth lifters and teenagers made this their first official competition and they all did well, with several going home with American records. They were joined by three lifters over the age of 70, with some of them also taking home American records.

Judging was handled by Brenda, Allan and Jay Siegel, Joe Orengia, Bugs Bayer and Nick Vlassic with Brenda and Bill Ogden handling the announcing with the help of several people at the scorers table.
